MY ROLE

UI/UX designer designing a Pill Reminder app & responsive website from concept to delivery.

THE BRIEFING

Design an app that will help individuals keep track of their medications, and schedule the proper dosage. Responsive website for those who prefer to use web versions instead of the mobile app.

Proposal

I recommended counting on large white spaces and pure minimalism as design pillars. The selected font and the use of very limited colors helped to bring a clean, modern look.

Process

Two personas created based on information from research stage (full case study avail at the end of page).

Lo-Fi prototype

To prepare for usability testing, I created a low-fidelity prototype that connected the user flow of creating an account in App to add medications to the schedule and receive a reminder.

Usability study

Based on the insights from the usability studies, I applied design changes like providing a scan icon, so users can switch from manual input to scan a barcode.

Hi-Fi prototype

The high-fidelity prototype followed the same user flow as the low-fidelity prototype, including design changes made after the usability study.

Conclusion
key learnings

Even though the problem I was trying to solve was substantial, diligently going through each step of the design process and aligning with specific user needs helped me conceive feasible solutions that were essential and useful.
