Urban Tails is a veterinarian hospital with a website to represent its services and prices. Their customers need to call the front desk to request any type of appointment, then wait on hold while the assistant checks the available time for the visit. All medical records are also provided on paper or by email. Urban Tails has a lot of loyal customers, however, most of them are busy working individuals who have no extra time for the long phone calls.

Product / UX / UI designer creating a brand identity and designing an app for Urban Tails from conception to delivery.
As part of this project was a rebrand, the client asked for a real upgrade in design, making it classic, but fancy, minimalist, informative and functional for employees and customers altogether. Based on the research the new app should keep loyal customers satisfied with the service and attract new customers to the hospital with an easy and comfortable way of communication.
I recommended organizing and digitizing an appointment system as well as clients, medical prescription, and documentation database.
Persona 'Igor' created based on information from research stage (full case study avail at the end of page).
After the usability studies, I increased buttons according to accessibility requirements. I added color to the icon on main nav which indicates what page is user on at the moment. I also worked on typography for the name and changed with small caps.
The final high-fidelity prototype presented cleaner user flows for requesting and scheduling an appointment. It also met user needs for adding additional info during the request.
The app makes users feel like Urban Tails really thinks about how to meet their needs in proper time manner. While designing the Urban Tails app, I learned that the first ideas for the app are only the beginning of the process. Usability studies and peer feedback influenced each iteration of the app’s designs.
